8 November - Victory Day of Azerbaijan
The Azerbaijani Embassy in Lithuania hosted an event marking November 8 – the Victory Day in Vilnius.
Following the performance of the Azerbaijani National Anthem, Ambassador Tamerlan Garayev emphasized that November 8 - Victory Day was one of the brightest pages in the country’s history. He underlined that this is the day when Azerbaijan restored its historical justice, which embodies the people’s strong will.
The Ambassador emphasized that the Victory Day is a new stage in Azerbaijan’s prosperity, highlighting the rapid progress of the ongoing restoration and reconstruction efforts in the liberated territories. He underlined that the conflict that has lasted for more than 30 years is now over, and the document initialed in Washington on August 8 this year confirms the official end of the conflict.
The event also featured the screening of a video highlighting the 44-day Patriotic War and the Victory Day.
